Expectant Parent

Congratulations on being a soon to be mom or dad! Did you know that each One Pediatrics office offers an introductory visit to get to know your provider? If you would like to schedule a complimentary in person, or remote visit with one of our providers, please call our office number.

birth Hospital

If you choose One Pediatrics as your pediatric providers, you will inform the hospital when you deliver.  While we do not attend any deliveries, we do make rounds on newborns at Baptist East and Norton Women and Children’s Hospitals(formerly Suburban). Within 24 hours of the birth, we will be in to examine the baby and address any concerns or questions that you may have. If your child requires more than routine newborn care, a neonatologist or other specialist may be consulted to assist in the management of your child’s needs.

First Office Visit

One to two days after leaving the hospital, is usually when we want to see your child in the office for the first time. We will check weight, look for jaundice, and discuss how baby is transitioning.  This is a great time for parents to ask questions, and discuss routine newborn care. Remember, there are no “stupid” questions when it comes to your child’s health and well being.  Outside of normal well visits, you are always welcome and encouraged to call with questions, or bring the baby in to see us at anytime if you have concerns.

VAccination and well visit policy

Our office follows vaccination and well visit schedules as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.  We are happy to discuss spacing out vaccines, but we do require that all patients receive mandatory vaccines as per Kentucky State Vaccine Requirements.
