Telehealth
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth, or a “virtual visit,” is a consultation with one of our pediatricians via video conferencing. This option is convenient, allows your child to be seen without coming into our office, and provides care by your regular pediatrician (who knows your child’s full history and has access to their medical chart).
What are the requirements?
Virtual visits are restricted to Mental Health concerns (Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, etc.). In order to schedule a telehealth visit, your child must be up to date for their Well Child visits, physically located within the state of Kentucky, and have been seen in office in the 6 months preceding the initial telehealth visit. These visits are billed encounters and treated the same as an in person visit. As regulations are constantly evolving, restrictions may change, and it is up to you to ensure your insurance company will allow these types of visits.

what are the benefits of telehealth?
- Can be done from the convenience of home, school, or your car
- No commute time necessary
- Avoid contagious illnesses that may be spreading through the community
- Less lost instructional time for students
- Less missed work for parents/guardians
How do I schedule a telehealth visit?
Contact our office by phone to request an initial telehealth appointment. After your first visit, you can call to schedule future visits, or schedule through our online portal. We recommend scheduling your next visit as soon as your doctor lets you know when they want you to follow-up.
